Cold Weather and Your Horse:
The best ways to care for your horse during these cooler months is...
Make sure you keep your horse drinking water during thses cold months.
You can sprinkle a little salt on your horses feed to encourage him to drink water.
Either keep a medium weight blanket on an outside horse or bring then inside a barn if possible.
If outside, try to offer a shelter to block the cold wind.
Offer you horse plenty of hay to eat during the cold nights to help keep his body warm.
